    When you have questions about leftist stuff, it's worth a try to ask the leftists. Here are the highlights of my discussion with Gemini about DEI:

    Q: How do children suffer when DEI is not part of their daily routine?
    A: When children don't see themselves they can feel invisible, unimportant... (NOTICE DEI "feels" for people.)

    Q: Should children expect there to always be somebody with the same skin color? A: No [BUT] They should see themselves represented in books and by staff....

    Q: Should DEI supercede qualifications in hiring to create a diverse workforce? A: No [But YES.]

    Q: Which "barriers" might prevent hiring of qualified diverse candidates?
    A: Studies show resumes with "ethnic-sounding" names less likely to receive callbacks"

    Q: Who conducted these studies?
    A: Marianne Bertrand and Sendhil Mullainathan
    The researchers sent over 5,000 fictitious resumes to help-wanted ads.
    Resumes with "white-sounding" names received more callbacks.

    Q: The researchers used 5000 ficticious resumes so did they have 5000 phone numbers on-hand for the callbacks?
    A: They don't state the minutiae of obtaining thousands of unique phone numbers.

    I agree. I've been saying that ever since the left invented their ridiculous "communities" language. (i.e. "black community" or "lgbtq community.")

    You should look at the recent Open Source projects (ex: XOrg) that have self-destructed because they hold updates by programmers in "non-marginalized" groups over updates by incompetent "marginalized" programmers.

    The left would hate it if marginalized people were actually allowed to speak.

    I think they've confused "ethnic-sounding" names with "pronouns".

    They wouldn't listen to you, cut off your mike, etc. So it makes no difference. The only way to get them to change is to vote them out or, like some other people, have them arrested for distributing porn to minors.

    That was a good one when a Process Server showed up at a school board meeting and served them all there.

    Or the sheriff who showed up telling the board that they needed to resign by a certain day or he would have them all arrested.


    ... If a program is useful, it will have to be changed.

    The Binghamton school district had a budget vote recently and I had no idea that the budget vote was also a school board member vote. They tricked us (unless that's common knowledge?)

    And they "elected" a woman who specializes in DEI.

    You're right. Sometimes it takes extreme measures to fix anything. Hopefully she has some victims who will come forward sometime soon! :)
