Agree to disagree. While Aderson owns the rights to the name, "Jethro Tull", now that he's the only remaining original member, is it really
JT anymore?
On the Showtime series "Roadies", which covers the life of roadies
supporting a band, they hire a band to be the opening act at one of the
shows. On the day of the show, 3 bands show up all claiming to be the
band name they hired....
I was a fan of the band Queensryche. At one point, they fired the lead
singer and his wife who was running the back office. The singer quickly
hired a band and put an album out as Queensryche. The remainder of
the band filed a cease and desist, it got tied up in court, then they
settled out of court with the proviso that the singer could finish the
tour in its entirety, then play specific songs under conditions.
While this was happening, the band hired a new lead singer and released
a different Queensryche album.
The singer changed his tour name to the Queensryche Farewell Tour,
seeing as he was saying goodbye to the name. Everyone thought the band
was retiring, forcing the band to release press conferences affirming
that they weren't retiring...
Now, That's Entertainment!
